Novorossiysk port reduces oil transshipment

The Russian Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped around 33.51 million tons of oil in January-May 2014 compared to 40.86 million tons in the same period of 2013, the port said on June 23.

The port transshipped about 12.31 million tons of oil products during the reporting period compared to 10.66 million tons in January-May 2013, according to the port.

The port transshipped around 58.13 million tons of various cargo in January-May compared to 61.32 million tons in the same period of 2013.

The Novorossiysk port transshipped about 91.74 million tons of oil in 2013 compared to 110.83 million tons in 2012. The port transshipped 24.2 million tons of oil products in 2013 compared to 19.4 million tons in 2012. Totally, the port transshipped about 141 million tons of various cargo in 2013 compared to about 159 million tons in 2012.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) transports its own oil through this port.
