Paraguay interested in studying Azerbaijan’s experience in oil and gas sphere
Baku, Azerbaijan, March 10
Paraguay praises Azerbaijan's achievements in the oil and gas sphere and is interested in studying the country's experience in this field, Azerbaijani embassy in Paraguay said.
The remarks were made at the meetings of Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation with Paraguayan officials during the visit to this country.
The delegation included MPs of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (parliament) Javanshir Feyziyev, Asim Mollazade, Fuad Muradov and Aslan Jafarov.
During the meetings with Paraguayan officials, it was noted that the cooperation between Azerbaijani and Paraguayan parliaments will promote the development of relations between the two countries in political, economic and humanitarian spheres. Meanwhile, the sides named energy and agriculture as the priority areas of cooperation.
Moreover, the sides said that given that both countries have no direct access to the ocean, Paraguay praises the infrastructure projects providing Azerbaijan's access to the international markets, as well as the results achieved in the country's oil and gas sector.
The possibility of cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade and investment spheres were discussed during the meetings with the business circle representatives of Paraguay, as well as the heads of such production associations and companies as SENACSA, ARP, FECOPROD, APROLE, and Frutika.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Paraguay were established in 2004. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade was also accredited to Paraguay in 2012.
