Gas volumes supplied to the population and other consumers in Azerbaijan daily amounted to 10.71 million cubic meters as of October 3, compared to 9.6 million cubic meters in early September, a source in the Azerigaz Production Union of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR told Trend Oct. 3.
Azerigaz deals with the distribution and sale of gas in the country.
The daily gas consumption volume in Baku was 7.03 million cubic meters as of October 3, while the figure reached 3.68 million cubic meters in the districts of the country.
The demand for gas in Azerbaijan in early October increased by 11.5 percent compared to early September.
According to Azerigaz, the number of gas consumers in Azerbaijan exceeds 2 million people, and the level of gas supply in the country is about 91 percent.
