Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar oil refinery was launched today after four years of modernization process. The plant is expected to start the production of gasoline in three days.
“The Pavlodar refinery was launched today. I talked to the general director of the plant this morning. The primary oil refining unit started to work,” said Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev, the Energy Ministry reported.
"The Pavlodar refinery will enter its full mode within three days and we expect the production of high-octane gasoline after this period."
Previously, Kazakh factories reduced the output of the AI-95 gasoline due to lack of the AI-92 gasoline, and the situation will be normalized in November, according to the energy minister.
Kazakhstan imported 64,000 tons of Russian gasoline in October. The country expects to receive 36,000 tons more by the end of the month.
