A workshop created on the basis of the Turkmenkabel plant in Turkmenistan will annually produce 180,000 single-phase electronic meters for domestic needs, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
Turkey’s Gap Insaat company supplies production and laboratory equipment, and carries out its installation and commissioning, according to the report.
The equipment and the electronic devices assembled on the conveyor are being tested.
Electronic meters in the near future will replace induction type energy meters used in residential buildings in Turkmenistan. Electronic meters provide higher accuracy of measurements in accordance with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and interstate (GOST) standards.
