Over the year, the Seydi oil refinery in Turkmenistan produced over 500,000 tons of gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and road bitumen, Trend reports referring to the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.

Recently, the oil refinery has carried out a comprehensive reconstruction of its catalytic reforming unit and an installation for production of high-quality road bitumen was commissioned.

Turkmenistan is developing projects to further increase the capacity of oil refineries in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Seydi, which are a part of the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

Turkmenistan plans to increase the capacity of the oil refining industry to 20 million tons of oil by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025, to 30 million tons by 2030.

The country produces annually about 10 million tons of oil at the present stage, a significant part of which is processed at local enterprises.
