Russian oil company establishes subsidiary in Uzbekistan

Russia’s Tatneft PJSC has established a subsidiary, Tatneft-AZS-Tashkent, in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

The oil company registered its subsidiary in Nurafshon, Tashkent Region. Currently, its business plan is being developed, Tatneft said.

Thus far, Tatneft had no filling stations in Uzbekistan. As of Oct. 1, 2018, its network consisted of 691 filling stations, including 582 in Russia, 18 in Belarus and 91 in Ukraine.

In November 2018, Tatneft General Director Nail Maganov met with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and representatives of the Uzbek state company Uzbekneftegaz.

Earlier, there were reports that Tatneft is considering the possibility of implementing a petrochemical project in the Angren Free Economic Zone in Uzbekistan.

Tatneft is one of the largest Russian oil companies today. The company includes steadily developing crude and gas production enterprises, oil refining, petrochemicals, tire manufacturing complexes and filling stations.
