Capacity of Azerbaijani regional substations greatly increased

In 2015-2018, the capacity of regional substations increased by 118.6 megawatts, Azerbaijan’s Azerishig OJSC told Trend on Jan. 30.

“Bringing the technical condition of the power grids into compliance with the standards allowed reducing the loss of electricity from 13.5 percent to 12 percent,” the company said.

"In 2015-2018, over 36,300 electricity meters were installed in Azerbaijan and more than 31,600 defective meters were decommissioned,” the company said.

Azerishig company has started to implement an action plan for 2019, which is aimed at improving the power supply in the houses of people living in the regions. For these purposes, the company purchased the necessary equipment.

"Today, the equipment will be supplied to the Aran region,” the company said. “The equipment will be installed at the initial stage in the Beylagan region."
