Russia's Gazpromneft-Omsk Refinery and Kazakhstan's Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery have agreed on cooperation and expertise exchange in area of oil processing technologies development, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Omsk refinery.
The agreement signing took place within the framework of the 16th Russia — Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum focusing on topical issues related to the development of cross-border cooperation, which was held in Russia’s Omsk city on November 6-7, 2019. The agreement was signed by Director of Gazpromneft-Omsk Refinery Oleg Belyavsky and Deputy General Director on Corporate Functions Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery Yermek Baimukhanov.
The agreement oversees programs of expertise exchange in the area of increase of oil processing depth and energy efficiency of operational processes. By signing the agreement, refineries agree on reinforce of intentions on organizing thematic internships and joint seminars for the exchange of expertise on topics of improving technological processes, increase of operating efficiency and oil processing depth.
“Efficient implementation of the agreement gives our ventures mutual benefits, which allow us to reach joint goal of petrochemical complex development. We are open for cooperation and are ready to exchange expertise with Kazakhstan,” Belyavsky said.
Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery is the largest enterprise in the northeast of Kazakhstan for oil refining and production of oil products and one of the three oil refineries of the Republic; 100 percent of shares of it are owned by KazMunayGas National Company.
The refinery was put into operation in 1978 and is focused on processing of oil raw materials of West Siberian oil fields. The enterprise has a balanced capacity of six million tons of crude oil per year.
