The French company Total is interested on expansion of its activities in Azerbaijan, Director of Corporate Services of Total Azerbaijan and Total E&P Absheron Anar Rasulov told Trend.
The company maintains close cooperation with SOCAR, and both companies are satisfied with the joint work on the project, Rasulov said.
Work on projects like Absheron is expected. For example, our current Umid-Babek offshore gas projects and others, the director said.
The participants of the Absheron project are the Azerbaijani State Oil Company SOCAR and the French company Total in a 50 percent share ratio. T
he French company ENGIE, which previously owned a 20 percent equity interest, left the project in June 2017. The contract on the Absheron field was signed between SOCAR and Total on February 27, 2009.
