Iran's South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company starts equipment repairs

The South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) of Iran has begun repairs to pipelines and production equipment for gas transportation from the Nar and Kangan gas fields, SZOGPC's Managing Director Hamid Izadi, Trend reports referring to the company’s official website.

Izadi said that the pipelines and production equipment of these fields will be repaired within 80 days.

“In addition, repair work will begin in the coming days at the Aghar, Dalan and Dey operating points, and these repairs will last one month, he added.

The repair of production equipment and pipelines in the Sarvestan and Saadatabad oil fields began in the second month (April 20-May 20, 2020) and was completed within a month, according to Izadi.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of three subsidiaries of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company operates at five sites in Fars, Bushehr and Hormozgan provinces.

The company produces about 60 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million barrels of oil and gas condensate a year.

The Saadatabad oil field at Fars province in southern Iran produces 4,000 barrels of crude oil per day. A project is being worked out to develop this field. Thus, production from this field will reach 7,000 barrels per day.

The Nar gas field is located near the city of Jam in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr. The field produces 29 million cubic meters of gas and 4,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.

The Kangan gas field is located near the city of Kangan in Iran's Bushehr province. The field produced 52 million cubic meters of gas and 16,000 barrels of gas condensate daily.
