A total of 7.6 million tons of oil products have been sold on the Iranian Energy Exchange (IRENEX) for export, Director General of IRENEX Ali Hosseini told Fars news agency, Trend reports.
The director general emphasized that a total of 8.6 million tons of oil products were sold at the IRENEX in the current Iranian year.
Hosseini added that while 1 million tons of oil products were sold for domestic consumption.
“According to the agreement between the Iranian Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Petroleum, a maximum of 37.5 million liters of diesel fuel will be sold on the IRENEX per month,” he noted.
The director general said that the proceeds from the sale will be paid as a subsidy to cooperative companies in Iran's border provinces.
