The construction of the production infrastructure of the three gas fields – West Joramergen, Gokmiyar, and Dashrabat has stared at the right bank of Amu Darya of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gas electronic newspaper.
The construction has begun as a part of the implementation of the second phase of the project for commissioning gas fields in the Eastern section of the Bagtyyarlyk contract territory of Turkmenistan by the China National Oil and Gas Corporation (CNPC).
Work is currently underway to build a gas collection station at the West Joramergen field, welding of more than 17 kilometers of pipelines with a diameter of 250 millimeters intended for gas collection and transportation, as well as the construction of other technological and engineering facilities.
The first phase of the project was completed in the fall of last year.
As part of the project, ground structures of the Khojagurluk, East Khojagurluk, and Joramergen gas fields were built, including 12 wells, a natural gas pretreatment unit, gas collection stations, etc.
As reported, the volume of investments by the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), operating since 2007 on the Bagtyyarlyk contract area in the eastern part of Turkmenistan, amounted to more than $8.2 billion at the beginning of 2020.
CNPC is engaged in the exploration, equipment, and development of deposits at the Bagtyyarlyk contract area, which has become one of the sources of raw materials for the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline.
