Iran's Marun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) earns annually more than $16 million from the sale of additional gas extracted with oil from own fields, said Executive Director for MOGPC Hamid Kavian, Trend reports citing the company's website.
Kavian noted that the company is implementing the plan related to collect gas extracted with oil and remove flares.
He added that under the contract, Iran's Hirbod Niroo Company is currently collecting 12 million cubic feet (about 340,000 cubic meters) of oil and gas daily from the 3rd phase of the Marun field.
The director said that 15 million cubic feet (about 424,000 cubic meters) of gas will be collected daily from this phase after completion of the upgrade operations.
Kavian emphasized that at the same time, Iran's Tamkar Gas Equipment Company will soon start to collect daily 22 million cubic feet (about 622,000 cubic meters) of gas from the 6th phase of the Marun field.
