The Ramin Thermal Power Plant in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) generated more than 6.97 million megawatt-hours of electricity in nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), Executive Director of Ramin TPP, Khalil Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to Mohammadi, the TPP generated 714,000-megawatt hours of electricity in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20).
The director added that Ramin TPP generated on average 232 megawatts of electricity per hour with 30,000 hours of operation in 9 months.
“While in the 9th month, 254 megawatts of electricity were generated in 2,810 hours of operation,” he said.
Iran's Ramin Thermal Power Plant is considered the largest TPP in Iran. This thermal power plant has 6 steam units each capacity of 315 megawatts.
