Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) extracted 1.09 million barrels of crude oil, 44 billion cubic meters of gas and 42 million cubic meters of gas condensate during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through February 19, 2021), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

He made the remark in an online meeting held on the extraction potential from oil and gas wells in the territories of ICOFC for the next Iranian year (March 21, 2021 to March 21, 2022).

Hatami stressed that so, the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company produced 136 million cubic meters of gas, 5,920 barrels of oil and 42,000 barrels of gas condensate daily.

The director added that according to next year's plan, the SZOGPC plans to extract daily 133 million cubic meters of gas in the eight hot months, and 167 million cubic meters in the four cold months of the next Iranian year. The crude oil extraction will also increase by over 20,000 barrels daily by next winter.

“In general, 3 new wells were drilled in the territory of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company within about 11 months. In addition, one well is under drilling. At the same time, 6 wells have been repaired over the 11 months, and two wells are being repaired,” he said.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol and 2 oil fields - Saadatabad and Sarvestan in operation.
