Malaysian Clipper Energy to sign agreement for construction of wind power plants in Uzbekistan

Administration of Fergana region and the Malaysian Clipper Energy company agreed on organizing a visit of company representatives to determine the exact location of the project on construction of wind power plants in Fergana region, Trend reports referring to Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia.

Online negotiations were held on May 24 with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia between representatives of the administration of the Fergana region and the Malaysian company Clipper Energy.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the construction of wind power plants in the region with a capacity of up to 1,000 MW by attracting more than $450 million of direct Malaysian investments.

According to the information, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in December 2020 between the parties to organize work to study the feasibility of implementing this project.

During the negotiations, the founder of Clipper Energy, Mohamad Halim Shah, provided detailed information on the work carried out by the enterprise within the framework of the above investment project, including the development of relevant project documentation, selection of an equipment supplier and other similar aspects.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of representatives of Clipper Energy to Uzbekistan in July to sign a cooperation agreement, determine the exact location of the project and open an office of the enterprise in the Fergana region.

Clipper Energy Supply Company is an enterprise located in Ecuador, with the main office in Quito. The enterprise currently operates in the Construction and Mining (except Oil Well) Machinery and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers sector. The company was established on February 10, 2000. The total number of employees is currently 13 (2017). In 2018, the company reported a net sales revenue drop of 24.65 percent. During that time, Clipper Energy Supply Company’s total assets decreased by 19.13 percent. In, 2018, the company’s net profit margin increased by 20.76 percent.
