Turkey boosts crude oil imports from Kazakhstan

Turkey has imported a total of 334,521 tons of crude oil in November 2021 from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 7.81 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 15.5 percent compared to January 2021 (289,589 tons) and by 79.9 percent compared to the volume imported in October 2020 (185,905 tons).

Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through November 2021 amounted to 3.9 million tons.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $3.7 billion from January through November 2021, compared to $2.8 billion during the same period of 2020.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkey amounted to $2.6 billion from January through November 2021, compared to $1.9 billion during the same period of 2020.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to nearly $1.05 billion over the reporting period, compared to $858.7 million during the same period of 2020.
