BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. The Azerbaijani SOCAR's Azneft Production Union has slightly overfulfilled (two percent) of its oil production plan in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports citing the PA.
Azerbaijan's total oil output in the reporting period made up 1.6 million tons. The production growth rate against the same period of 2021 accounted for 0.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the union said the gas production plan has been overfulfilled by 1.5 percent.
Gas production in Azerbaijan from January through March 2022 grew by 1.2 percent compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 1.6 billion cubic meters.
