BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Azerbaijan’s gas exports to Türkiye rose by 31.47 percent in July 2022, as compared to the same month in 2021, and stood at 709.97 million cubic meters, Trend reports with reference to Türkiye’s Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The country came in third in terms of natural gas exports to Türkiye during the reporting period.

Russia was the largest exporter of natural gas to Türkiye in July 2022 with almost 1.448 billion cubic meters, a 37.20 percent decrease year-on-year, followed by Iran with 870.54 million cubic meters, or 37.48 percent more year-on-year.

Türkiye’s overall gas imports dropped by 15.71 percent in July 2022 year-on-year and stood at 3.411 billion cubic meters, with 3.029 billion cubic meters accounting for pipeline imports and 382.80 million cubic meters imported as liquefied natural gas.

Pipeline imports decreased by 12.95 percent, while LNG imports saw a 32.66 percent decrease.
