BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. The production of Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding is planned to increase to 33 million tons per year in the near future, deputy director of the holding Hassan Nishanzadeh Moqaddam said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The deputy director said that the mentioned increase will be reached with the launch of 3 new petrochemical facilities.

“In addition, the company's production is planned to increase to 46 million tons per year in 2026,” he added.

Nishanzadeh Moqaddam also noted that 75 percent of the equipment used in the holding's plants was produced domestically. The figure is estimated to increase by 5 percent to 80 percent over the next 1 year.

Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding is considered one of the main petrochemical companies in the country.

A number of companies, including Jam Petrochemical Company, Kermanshah Petrochemical Company, Shiraz Petrochemical Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical Company, Ilam Petrochemical Company, Urmia Petrochemical Company and others are operating under this holding.
