BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The nominations for gas entry at the Kipoi interconnection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Greece totaled 331,019,866 kWh for both May 23 and May 24, Trend reports via TAP AG consortium.
Additionally, there were 29,000,000 kWh nominated for gas flows at Kipoi on May 25. At the Komotini interconnection, the exit nominations remained constant at 34,390,675 kWh for both May 23 and May 24.
Meanwhile, at the Nea Mesimvria interconnection, the entry nominations were 9,320,000 kWh for both May 23 and May 24, and the exit nominations were 30,346,301 kWh for the same dates. For the Melendugno interconnection, the exit nominations were 273,002,890 kWh for both May 23 and May 24, and 29,000,000 kWh for May 25.
TAP serves as the European segment of the Southern Gas Corridor and has the capacity to transport around 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually, with the potential to expand up to 20 billion cubic meters per year. This pipeline is crucial for Europe's energy security, supply diversification, and decarbonization efforts, providing reliable access to a new source of natural gas.
