ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 7. The Gumdagnebit department of the Turkmennebit State Concern in Turkmenistan produced and sent for processing about 330,500 tons of oil from existing wells from January through July this year, Trend reports.
According to the information, the department exceeded the oil production plan by 12 percent during the specified period.
Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the Gumdagnebit department produced more than 50,000 tons of oil from operating wells in excess of the plan.
At the same time, in the first 7 months of this year, the enterprise produced an additional 3 million cubic meters of natural gas.
Meanwhile, as stated by the Turkmen Turkmengaz State Concern, Turkmenistan's hydrocarbon reserves are evaluated to be in excess of 71 billion tons of oil equivalent. This includes over 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
