BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Azerbaijan's Absheron field produced 0.6 billion cubic meters of gas from January through November 2023, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry.
Total gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 44 billion cubic meters from January through November 2023, with state oil company SOCAR producing 7.7 billion cubic meters.
Thus, gas production in Azerbaijan increased by 3.6 percent, or 1.5 billion cubic meters year-on-year.
Absheron gas condensate field, located about 100 kilometers southeast of Baku in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, is operated by JOCAP (Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum). The first gas from the Absheron field was received in early July this year.
