Türkiye significantly reduces oil supply from Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. Türkiye has reduced its purchase of Azerbaijani oil by more than 3.7 times, the data of the State Customs Committee said, Trend reports.

According to the information, Türkiye received 68,079 tons of declared Azerbaijani oil worth $36 million from January through February 2024, while from January through February 2023 the volume was 253,529 tons worth almost $152 million.

At the same time, Türkiye bought 62,724 tons of Azerbaijani oil in February 2024.

The main supplier of oil to Türkiye is currently Russia, which sells oil at a discount.
