Azerbaijan resumes gasoline export

The Haydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the former Azerneftyanajag, resumed gasoline export at the expense of extra reserves existing at the Company, SOCAR told Trend.

2,000 tons of gasoline has been shipped and we are going to satisfy requirements for the product in Georgia, SOCAR underlined.

SOCAR plans to resume operation of the catalytic cracking device at the Heydar Aliyev Plant that would allow increase of product export.

In December SOCAR signed a contract with Singaporean Petrofarm on delivery of 50,000-tons gasoline in 2006. Oil product will be shipped at FOB to pier 20 on the balance of Azrneftyag Oil Refinery Plant. Petrofarm will deliver gasoline through the tankers of the Caspian Shipping Company to the Iranian Neca port.

Besides, SOCAR has a contract with Georgian Saknaftobtransi on delivery of gasoline in 2006. SOCAR supposes to deliver 20,000 tons of gasoline to the Company per month.
