During the session led by president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the situation in energy sector, The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan was assigned to raise additional amount of gas production to 1bn m3 from current 50mln, Trendreports with reference to SOCAR.
SOCAR shall lay a new high pressure pipeline at Guneshli field that gives most of the gas.
The pipeline will start July 5 from pipe-laying vessel Suleyman Vezirov.
It shall continue the 22kmn long gas pipeline connecting Guneshli to Neft Dashlari. From the pipelines total length, 13km falls for existing pipeline.
The pipes for the new pipeline are already delivered to Baku. The throughput of new pipeline totals 2mln m3 a day. The installation will be completed in fall 2006.
