Oil&Gas Materials 19 January 2007 16:48 (UTC +04:00)

Azerbaijan partly renewed the delivery of the liquefied gas to Georgia, which had been temporarily terminated in October 2006. During the termination of the Azerbaijani delivery, the liquefied gas was imported from Turkmenistan, a whole price increase of $150-160 from the cost of the Azerbaijani gas, Trend Special Correspondent reports quoting Energy Ministry of Georgia.

Taking into consideration the expenses, the price of the Turkmen liquefied gas makes up $500 per one ton. Therefore, the prices for the liquefied gas have importantly increased in Adjari and mountainous region of Georgia. The monthly demand of Georgia for the liquefied gas is nearly 3,000 tons.
