Prices on Azerbaijani Oil Go Down

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. V. Sharifov/ The price on AZERI LT FOB Ceyhan crude oil was $60.09 per barrel on March 15, 2007. This figure is on $0.07 per barrel less (down) that one registered on March 14, 2007.

The price on AZERI LT CIF Augusta crude oil on March 15 made up $60.94 per barrel, that was on $0.07 per barrel less than the corresponding figure registered on March 14, 2007.

Azeri Light crude oil is produced on bloc of fields "Azeri-Gunashli-Chiragh" (ACG). Notably, BP is the operator of this project. This oil is carried to the Turkish Mediterranean Sea Port of Ceyhan via BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline), Georgian Black Sea Port of Supsa via the Baku-Supsa Pipeline, as well as Georgian Port of Batumi by railway without any mixing with other oil brends. Notably, the density of Azeri Light reaches 34.8 degrees by API, with the content of sulfur is 0.15%.

The price on URAL (EX-NOVO) on March 15 was $55.57 per barrel, that was on $0.16 per barrel less versus the corresponding indicator registered on March 14.

Azerbaijan is selling oil branded URAL from the Russian Black Sea Port of Novorossiysk by carrying the oil via the Northern Route of Baku-Novorossiysk Pipeline. The high-quality Azerbaijani oil, including Azeri Light crude is mixed with other brands of oil of less quality in the Russian Pipeline System and then sold out from the Port of Novorossiysk as URAL. Notably, the density of URAL is 30.4-31.85 degrees by API, with the content of sulfur is up to 1.8%.

The price on Brent Dated on March 15 was $60.56 per barrel, that was on $0.25 per barrel less versus the price registered on March 14.

Notably, the density of Brent Dated is 38.3 degrees by API, with the content of sulfur is 0.36%.
