Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / Baktikoja Izmuhambetov, the Kazakh Energy Minister, stated in Baku on 4 April that in 2007 TengizShevron consortium will not deliver oil from the Kazakhstan's Tengiz field via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline.
"First oil pumping from Tengiz via the BTC is scheduled for 2008. The oil delivery via the BTC depends on crude export via other routes. Moreover, Kazakhstan has set up the construction work under the second stage of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline project," the minister stressed
Oil production from Tengiz field will be increased from the current 13mln tons to 22-25mln under the second stage of the project.
