Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovnak Abdullayev, said at the meeting with the Deputy Director of the Central Committee of the Austrian Oil Company OMV, Gerhard Rays, that Azerbaijan intends to transport its oil to Europe on the base of the most beneficial commercial conditions.
According to Abdullayev, holding such meetings is significant from the point of view of receiving information on the economic bases of the projects on transportation of the energy resources to Europe.
Rays said that Azerbaijan will act both as participant and transit country within the transportation of the energy resources from Caspian region to Europe via NABUCCO pipeline. OMV intends to co-operate with SOCAR in oil refinery. It was decided to continue the negotiations at the level of the expert group.
