Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. I. Khalilova/ The Asian Development Bank (ADB) have worked out a five-year programme on perspectives of co-operation in energy sector in countries of Central Asia and Caucasus, considered for 2007-2012. A source in the ADB Office Baku has said that the mentioned programme is expected to be first viewed in Almaty during the joint meeting of representatives of countries of the region, to be held in the Kazakhstan's Southern Capital of Almaty on June 12, 2007.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Ministries of Economic Development and Industry are expected to represent our country during the forthcoming event. The consideration of the mentioned programme will be held in the other ADB member-states as well, with the final decision to be given at the ADB Headquarters in Manila towards the end of 2007.
The major priorities within the programme are expected to be chosen, as well as investment possibilities which will also be determined. Within these priorities and possibilities, ABR will finance different energy projects in Central Asia and Caucasus within the next five years.
