Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The Head of Azerigaz CSC, Alikhan Melikov, said on 30 May at the meeting with the members of the Caspian Integration Business Club that Garadagh underground gasholder will be reconstructed at the expense of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The cost of the two-year project amounts to nearly $150-160 mln. Earlier this project had been intended to be realized through credits. Azerigaz had announced a tender, but it was ceased.
The project involves the reconstruction of Karadag Underground Gas Storage and high pressure natural gas compressor station constructed for a capacity of 2.3bln cubic meters of active gas, gas cleaning facilities design, procurement of necessary equipment, construction, pre-commission and commission (start up), at the same time complete repair of old wells, drilling of new necessary wells, determination of drilling sites, complete analysis of wells and underground storages.
