The total bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani regions as of late January 2020 made up over 8.59 billion manat, which is 512,5 million manat or 6,3 percent more compared to January 2019, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The share of Azerbaijani regions in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late December 2019 was 9.6 percent.
Around 85 percent or 748.7 million manat of all deposits in the country's regions for the reporting period account for savings in the national currency. As of late January, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to over 7.71 billion manat, including 3.45 billion manat in national currency.
The average annual interest rate on loans for December 2019 was 3.8 percent in the country's regions and 3.7 percent in Baku.
