Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic issued loans to legal entities and individuals in the amount of 146.6 million manat ($86.2 million) from January through August 2021, which is 22.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistics Committee.
Of this amount, long-term loans accounted for 129.3 million manat ($76 million), or 88.5 percent of all issued loans, short-term loans - 16.7 million manat or $9.82 million (11.5 percent), the report said.
In the first 8 months of this year, the volume of lending to legal entities and individuals was 113.5 million manat ($66.7 million), said the report.
The average interest rate on a loan in Nakhchivan in the specified period amounted to 14.64 percent, the report said.
The share of loans issued in Nakhchivan in the total volume of lending in Azerbaijan (15.2 billion manat or $8.94 billion) amounted to 1.5 percent.
