Liquidity in Iran increasing

The liquidity in Iran increased by 39.1 percent at end of the 5th month of the current Iranian year (August 22, 2021), compared to the end of the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 39.2 quadrillion rials (about $933 billion) at the end of 5th month.

"Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, this figure was 28.2 quadrillion rials (about $671 billion)," the statistics said.

Furthermore, the share of money in liquidity was 7.81 quadrillion rials (about $186 billion) at the end of 5th month. This is an increase of 36.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, the share of money in liquidity amounted to 5.73 quadrillion rials (about $136 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics, the share of near-money in liquidity was 31.4 quadrillion rials (about $747 billion) within the mentioned period. This is an increase of 39.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, the share of near-money in liquidity amounted to 22.4 quadrillion rials (about $535 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
