The net external assets of commercial banks in Azerbaijan in 10M2021 increased by 34.9 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 4.481 billion manats ($2.6 billion), Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, the total external assets of banks exceeded 5.99 billion manats ($3.5 billion) in the specified period, and external liabilities amounted to 1.113 billion manats ($654.9 million).
At the same time, deposit operations of commercial banks in the specified period amounted to 21.37 billion manats ($12.6 billion), which is 20.7 percent more than the same period last year.
Of these, 11.48 billion manats ($6.7 billion) fell on deposits in national currency, 9.88 billion ($5.8 billion) - on deposits in foreign currency (in manat equivalent).
