TEHRAN, Iran, Dec. 27
Trend:
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran (SEO) formed a joint committee to coordinate their monetary and capital market policies, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The committee was established following the order of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Iran and the Central Bank.
Lifting barriers for competitive production, stabilizing the country's financial system, as well as improving the work of the CBI, are the common issues to be raised by the joint committee.
In November, the Governor of CBI Ali Salehabadi said that the formation of a joint committee will help develop joint cooperation in money and capital markets and stabilize them while creating new capacity for growth because money and stock markets are not competitors but complementary.
