BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. The Money Supply Rate (М2) increased by 5.1 billion manat ($3 billion), or 18.74 percent, in Azerbaijan on September 1, 2023, compared to the same period last year (from 26.9 billion manat, or $15.8 billion, to 32 billion manat, or $18.8 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 2.4 billion manat, or $1.4 billion (20.01 percent) over the year—from 12.2 billion manat, or $7.2 billion, to 14.6 billion manat, or $8.6 billion—and the broad money supply (M3) increased by 2 billion manat, or $1.2 billion (5.24 percent), to 41.1 billion manat, or $24.2 billion (against 39.1 billion manat, or $23 billion a year earlier).
The transaction money (M1) per year increased by 3.9 billion manat, or 2.3 billion (16.86 percent), from 23.1 billion manat ($13.6 billion) to 26.9 billion manat ($15.8 billion).
