Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 March / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ The Aztelekom production association (PA) of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry will construct the NGN (Next Generation Network) in another region of the country, Salyan, which is located 126km from of Baku. On 12 March, the PA announced the tender for the complete reconstruction of the Salyan central automatic telephone exchange to make it correspond to NGN technologies.
Those interested in participation in the tender, must submit their tender proposals to the Salyan telecommunication hub by 10 April. The cost of participation in the tender is AZN 3,000.
Previously, NGN was constructed and put into operation in the town of Shamakha and its 23 surrounding villages, which enabled the residents to use IP-telephony, internet, television and DATA-services. For this purpose, equipment from the Slovenian company Iskratel was set up in all village automatic telephone exchanges and in the central Shamakha automatic telephone exchange.
NGN (Next Generation Network) is a universal multi-purpose network considered for transmitting speech, images, and data by using communication packages. NGN Network ensures the quality of service necessary for different kinds of telecommunication traffic. Introducing this technology will allow the subscribers to take advantage of using such services like VIP-telephone, voice mail, data transmission service, multimedia services, private virtual networks, unified message exchange, on-line message exchange, interactive speech reply services, interactive games, video conferences, and home manager.
