Reorganizing Azerpocht into a joint stock company will be considered after 2012, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Post Department head Novruz Mammadov said.
"This is a major part of the Development of Financial Services project with the World Bank," he said.
The project envisages developing Azerpocht over the next three years.
Azerpocht will operate on the basis of the IT Ministry after its reorganization.
Azerpocht has 59 post offices, including two companies, two subsidiaries and 8 communication hubs.
Over 4,200 people work for the company.
