Apple has activated FaceTime for Iphone 4 holders in Azerbaijan, executive director of Alma Store (the official network of shops Apple Premium Reseller in Azerbaijan) Ramin Musayev said.
According to Musayev, two-way video call FaceTime function on Apple technology is available on iPod touch and iPad, which hold registration by e-mail.
"A phone number is required to activate FaceTime on iPhone 4. This feature has become available for Azerbaijani users. Any subscriber numbers of three mobile operators can be used in Azerbaijan to activate it. The exception is that the 3G and EDGE is not used in its functionality. Wi-Fi protocol is used for two-way video calls, enabling the mobile subscribers do not worry about the state of balance," Musayev said.
Cellular network on FaceTime is necessary for the first call to send a message to the Apple server, which registers the user's telephone number. FaceTime releases a user from installing additional applications. It is enough to pick someone in the phonebook and call as if it were a normal call.
