Aerial surveys are taking place in Tbilisi to create a 3D map of the city, Trend reports with reference to newsgeorgia.ge.
The shooting is carried out by the Israeli Offek company.
The permission to fly over Tbilisi was issued till July 5, and the flight route was agreed in advance with the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
After completion of the shooting Tbilisi will have a model of the 3D map and the orthophoto map which will capture the territory of 516 square kilometers. It will give the opportunity to work more effectively for architectural, urban services, as well as the departments of property management, supervision, transport, environmental protection.
The map will be available to all on the site maps.tbilisi.gov.ge.
Last time air shooting of Tbilisi was carried out in 2014.
