A deal on the acquisition of the corporate business protection division of the McAfee company has been concluded, the McAfee press service told Trend.

“Symphony Technology Group (STG), the US private equity, announced that the consortium it leads has closed the deal to acquire the McAfee division. STG paid out $4 billion to McAfee,” the company said.

“McAfee Enterprise has long played a key role in securing the digital assets of the largest companies around the world. Today, more than 85 percent of enterprises from the ‘Fortune 100’ list are clients. Cybersecurity is more important than ever, and we are committed to working with the McAfee Enterprise team to create powerful solutions that enable organizations to better manage their defenses,” the company said.

The emphasis on corporate cybersecurity is particularly important today, as companies face increasingly sophisticated attacks and attacker techniques that have become more difficult to detect with traditional tools, the message said.

“We’ve always prioritized our customers' interests and have been the industry leaders in creating solutions to ensure their cybersecurity. With the unique cybersecurity needs and challenges of companies now receiving increased attention, we focus our strategic efforts, resources and investments to develop and deliver solutions for our corporate clients, commercial and government organizations,” the company noted.

“In addition, a top priority for the new McAfee Enterprise is to meet customer needs with a leading portfolio of global solutions,” McAfee said.

Due to the completion of the deal, McAfee Enterprise is expected to rebrand in the coming months.
