The average download speed for mobile and broadband Internet access in Azerbaijan in August 2021 amounted to 39.25 (an increase of 2.01) and 25.36 (an increase of 1.28) Mbps, respectively, Trend reports with reference to Ookla.
According to Ookla, mobile data downloads in August rose by 5.4 percent compared to the previous month. The outgoing mobile Internet speed amounted to 14.83 Mbps, which is 1.6 percent more compared to July.
In addition, fixed-broadband download speeds in Azerbaijan increased by more than five percent from the previous month.
It is noted that in the world during the specified period, the speed of incoming and outgoing downloads via the mobile network amounted to 56.74 Mbit / s and 12.61 Mbit / s, respectively.
According to Ookla, in August of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 62nd among 137 countries in terms of data download speed via mobile Internet, having improved its position by four steps, as well as 124th place among 181 countries in terms of data transmission speed via broadband Internet access.
