BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 29. Azerbaijan's Azercosmos Space Agency generated $1.4 million in revenue from provision of satellite and telecommunication services to 42 countries in January 2024, Trend reports.
The data from the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communications shows that the agency's revenue made up 75 percent of its total revenue.
In the reporting month, Azercosmos exported satellite and telecommunication services to the UK ($367,300), Luxembourg ($335,300), the UAE ($74,200), Germany ($71,000), and Pakistan ($69,500).
Notably, Azerbaijan's Azercosmos generated $19.8 million in revenue from satellite and telecommunication services in 2023, which is 25.56 percent, or $6.8 million less than the figure for 2022.
Last year, Azercosmos exported satellite and telecommunication services to the UK ($5.8 million), Luxembourg ($4.1 million), the UAE ($1.6 million), Germany ($1 million), and Nigeria ($724,900).
In 2022, the revenues of Azercosmos from providing satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $26.6 million.
