Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / Participation in one of the largest international IT exhibitions, CeBIT Bilishim Eurasia - 2007, can be useful for Azerbaijani IT companies, the Director General of Hifas Hannover Fairs - Interpro Uluslararasi Fuarcilik A.S, who is the organizer of the event, Dennis Smith, reported at a press conference on 4 July.

According to Smith, the 2007 exhibition will be held on 2-7 October in Istanbul in the exhibition complex Tuyap Exhibition and Congress Center (over 26,000 sq m of exhibition stalls). It will be divided into following three main sections: Business World, Digital Life and Telecommunications.

Smith noted that CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia was the world's sixth largest IT exhibition. That is the most important computer exhibition in Turkey, South-West Asia and Black Sea countries.

"We aim to attract the attention of Azerbaijani companies to participate in the exhibition, where it will be possible to establish and expand business relationships," Smith said.

He did not rule out that in the first stage Azerbaijani companies would be able to participate in the event as visitors. Anyway, in Smith's opinion, that could positively affect the activities of companies in the IT filed.

Last year 952 participants and some 143,000 visitors attended CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia. The total area of exhibition venues made up some 26,489,000 sq m. This year the exhibition is to be attended by 140,000 visitors and 1,000 participants from 70 countries.
