Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are planning to jointly conduct combined tours, Uzbek media reported citing specialist of the Tourism Department of Kyrgyzstan Sanjar Borkeev addressing a press conference in Bishkek.
“Letters have been sent at the intergovernmental level to these states to consider our idea of combined tours. Today, private travel companies organize tours to cities such as Almaty, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, whereas creation of joint tours with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will be carried out at the state level,” Borkeev said.
Uzbek Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov noted that development of the tourism sphere is strategically important for Uzbekistan and the Uzbek side is ready to create joint combined tours in this regard.
He also added that Kyrgyz citizens can stay on the territory of Uzbekistan without a visa for 60 days.
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have canceled the visa regime since March 16, with the citizens of the two countries now being able to stay on another state’s territory without a visa for 30 days.
