The authorities will compensate for the costs of carriers performing charter flights to Uzbekistan from foreign countries, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

Benefits for them are to be introduced from January 1, 2020.

Furthermore, travel agencies that organize foreign trips to Uzbekistan as guests can count on compensation payments. Compensation will be paid from the state treasury of Uzbekistan and the funds of the off-budget Tourism Support Fund under the State Committee for Tourism Development.

The amount of compensation will vary depending on the season. In the warm season, the payout will be $20, and in the cold (from November 20 to February 20) - $50 for each foreign traveler.

Recently, the authorities have adopted many regulatory legal acts. All of them are aimed at the development of tourism in the country. These actions have already affected the increase in tourist flow to Uzbekistan. So, more than 3 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan in the first half of 2019. This significantly exceeds the figures for the same period last year.

In addition, 4,200 places in hotels were created to accommodate travelers in the country in January-June. For comparison, for the same period in 2018, only 400 places were created.
