Azerbaijan made cargo transportation worth $288.1 million from January through March 2020, which is 3.4 times less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the country’s State Customs Committee on April 15.
During the reporting period, more than 23,800 tons of cargo were transported by air, which is 2.8 percent more than in the first quarter of last year.
Nearly 21,200 tons of cargoes worth $60.1 million (a growth of 1.5 percent) were exported by air, which is an increase of 6.1 percent.
Some 2,570 tons of cargo worth almost $228 million (a 4.1 times decrease) were imported by air from January through March 2020.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover amounted to $6.8 billion.
The country's export made up $4.2 billion, while import - over $2.6 billion.
